Moving out of a house or builder floor in Palam Vihar
Most homes here are independent houses and builder floors, laid out in lettered blocks such as C-1 and C-2. Many floors have a staircase but no lift. During the survey we check the stair width and the turns, then decide the crew size and how large pieces, such as a sofa or a double-door fridge, will come down.
If you live on an upper floor and your landlord or the owner below has rules on timings, tell us before the date is fixed. The packing is planned so the loud work, like taping cartons and moving furniture, happens in the allowed hours.
Truck access and parking
The inner lanes of the blocks fill up with parked cars, especially in the evening, so a large truck may not reach every gate. We check where the truck can stand during the survey. If it has to stop away from your gate, the crew carries your goods over that last stretch.
A morning start usually works best here: the lanes are clearer and the drive out towards Dwarka Expressway or NH-48 is quicker.
Landmarks and getting around
Rezang La Chowk and Carterpuri Road are the usual reference points when you give the crew directions. Palam Vihar Halt railway station is nearby. There is no metro station in Palam Vihar today, so plan your own travel on moving day by road; Dwarka, the airport and Dwarka Expressway are all close.
Where families from Palam Vihar move to
- Within Gurugram: to the new towers on Dwarka Expressway, or to Sohna Road and Golf Course Extension Road. These are local moves, planned around lift slots at the new society.
- Into Delhi: Dwarka and West Delhi are next door. The move is handled like a local shift.
- To another city: see the Gurugram page for road distances and transit times to major cities.
