What a local shift looks like
- Survey. We see the home in person or on a video call, and note the floors, the lift and the parking at both addresses.
- Quote. You get the price in writing, with packing, transport and labour listed.
- Packing and loading. The crew packs room by room, marks each carton with its room and loads the truck.
- Short drive and unloading. Cartons go straight to the rooms marked on them, and furniture is placed where you want it.
Small homes get the same care
A single room, a PG or a studio flat needs the same careful packing as a large house, just a smaller vehicle and fewer hands. Tell us what is going, and we size the vehicle and the team to it, so you do not pay for a truck you do not need.
Planning around your building
In a city move, the building often decides the day more than the distance does. Check these before the date is fixed:
- Lift booking and allowed moving hours at both societies.
- Where the truck can stand, and how far it is from your door.
- Any gate pass or permission letter the guards will ask for.
- Stairs without a lift, which need more people and time.
Tell us about these during the survey. We plan the crew and the timing around them.
On moving day, keep ready
- Keys and access to both homes, and a family member at each end.
- The lift booking confirmation and parking space for the truck.
- Cash, jewellery, documents and medicines in a bag that stays with you.
- The fridge emptied and defrosted, and the washing machine drained.
