The material we use
| Material | Used for |
|---|---|
| Cartons | Books, clothes, kitchen items and anything that fits a box |
| Bubble wrap | Electronics, crockery, glassware and polished surfaces |
| Foam sheets | Appliances and the edges of furniture |
| Stretch film | Sofas, mattresses and wardrobes, against dust and moisture |
| Wooden crates | Glass tops, mirrors, marble, idols and artwork |
| Tape and labels | Every carton, marked with its room and what is inside |
How the crew packs a home
- One room at a time, so nothing from the kitchen ends up with the bedroom things.
- Heavy things such as books go in small cartons; light things in bigger ones.
- Plates and glasses are wrapped one by one and stood upright, not stacked flat.
- Cartons with fragile items are marked on every side.
- Cartons are numbered, so you can check that all of them arrived.
Unpacking at your new home
Cartons are first placed in the rooms marked on them. If you book unpacking, the crew then unpacks the kitchen, wardrobes and crockery, and places things where you want them, so the house is usable on the first night.
Packing without the move
You can book packing on its own: before your goods go into storage, before a renovation, or when you are sending things yourself.
