What our home shifting includes
Every home move follows the same order, so nothing is left to guesswork on moving day.
- Survey. A coordinator sees your home in person or on a video call and notes every item, the floor, the lift and the parking at both ends.
- Written quote. You get the full price in writing, with packing, transport and labour listed, before you book.
- Packing. Our crew brings all the material and packs room by room, marking each carton with the room it belongs to.
- Loading and transport. Furniture and cartons are loaded and secured inside the truck so nothing shifts on the road.
- Delivery. The same team unloads, carries everything to the right rooms and places the furniture where you want it.
How we pack different things
Most damage in a move is prevented at the packing stage. This is the material our crew normally uses for each kind of item.
| Item | How it is packed |
|---|---|
| TV, computer and music system | Bubble wrap, then a padded carton, or the original box if you still have it |
| Fridge and washing machine | Foam sheets around the body, stretch film over it, doors taped shut |
| Glass tops, mirrors, marble and paintings | A wooden crate for large or fragile pieces; thick padding and corner guards for smaller ones |
| Sofa, bed and dining table | Stretch film to keep out dust, bubble wrap on legs, corners and polished edges |
| Crockery and kitchen items | Each piece wrapped in bubble wrap and stood upright in a strong carton |
| Clothes, books and toys | Cartons kept light enough for one person to lift safely |
Shifting within your city or to another state
Most moves inside the same city are packed, moved and delivered within one or two days, depending on the size of the home and the lift and parking at each end.
For a move to another city, the distance sets the timeline. As a guide, Delhi to Mumbai is about 1,450 km by road and a truck usually takes 4–6 days. Gurugram to Bengaluru is about 2,200 km, usually 6–8 days. Check any other pair of cities in our distance calculator.
On a long route, ask us whether a dedicated or a shared truck suits you. A dedicated truck carries only your household and leaves once it is loaded. A shared truck costs less but takes longer.
What decides the price of a home move
- How much is moving. The number of rooms is only a rough guide. The real measure is the volume of furniture and cartons.
- Distance. Kilometres, tolls and the number of days on the road.
- Floors and lifts. Stairs without a lift, or a long walk from the truck to your door, need more hands.
- Packing needs. Wooden crates for glass, marble or artwork cost more than cartons.
- Truck type. A dedicated truck costs more than a shared one.
- Date. Dates at the end of the month book up first.
- Extras. Moving a car or bike, or keeping some goods in storage for a while.
The price comes after the survey, in writing, with everything it includes listed on it.
Before moving day: a short checklist
- Tell your society or landlord the date, and ask about lift booking, entry timings and any permission letter or gate pass.
- Keep cash, jewellery, documents and daily medicines in a bag that travels with you.
- Empty and defrost the fridge a day before, and drain the washing machine.
- Use up or give away gas cylinders, paint, fuel and cleaning chemicals. They cannot go in the truck.
- Pack a first-night bag with clothes, chargers, toiletries and a few kitchen basics.
- Put aside anything you do not want packed, so the crew knows to leave it.
- Take a photo of the cables behind your TV and computer before they are unplugged.
