Moving house in Delhi: what to plan for
Truck timings
Delhi limits when bigger goods vehicles can run on many of its roads. For long-distance moves, loading is often planned for early morning or late evening, and in some areas a smaller vehicle carries the goods to the main truck. We plan this with you during the survey, so the crew is not stuck waiting on moving day.
DDA flats and builder floors
Many DDA blocks in Rohini, Pitampura, Janakpuri and Mayur Vihar have no lift, and builder floors in South and West Delhi often have narrow staircases. Heavy pieces such as a double-door fridge or a sofa come down by hand, so the survey checks the stairs before the crew size is fixed.
Societies in Dwarka, Vasant Kunj and East Delhi
Group-housing societies usually ask for a gate pass, a lift booking and moving within set hours. Ask your society office early. We help with the details the society asks for and plan the packing around your slot.
Markets and old lanes
Around Karol Bagh, Lajpat Nagar, Laxmi Nagar and Paharganj, lanes fill up as the shops open. A move here goes much faster when it starts early in the morning.
