Chandanagar: BHEL colonies and a calm residential pocket
Chandanagar sits beside BHEL Township and Lingampally, near Miyapur and Hafeezpet. The Chandanagar Municipal Circle, Sri Nagar Colony and the Old Mumbai Highway shape its geography. Many residents work for BHEL, in banks or in IT, and several have lived in the area for decades.
Compared with the IT corridor, Chandanagar is more settled. Houses are individual, often with two or three floors, and families keep large amounts of furniture, utensils and storage. Roads in the colonies are wide enough for a medium truck, and the traffic is lighter, apart from the highway. The Old Mumbai Highway has heavy goods vehicles passing through, and school hours add to the load.
Public sector residents sometimes move on transfer, and company quarters have inspection procedures. We coordinate with the housing office when needed. For those moving into a flat from an independent house, a pre-move discussion about space and furniture is helpful, as we can advise on what will fit and what may be better stored or donated. Typical moves are to Lingampally, Miyapur, Hafeezpet and Madinaguda. Practical planning for Chandanagar
Chandanagar is a densely built area near Lingampally and the Hafeezpet side, with the Chandanagar lake and many apartment complexes. The Mumbai highway and the Chandanagar–Madeenaguda road carry heavy traffic, and parking is limited. Several of the apartments are medium-sized buildings with compact lifts, so we dismantle larger items before loading. The area is popular with IT employees who work in Gachibowli, Kondapur and Madhapur, so month-end is the busiest time. Typical destinations are Miyapur, Madeenaguda, Lingampally and Hafeezpet.
