Chowk is the oldest market quarter of Prayagraj, a dense tangle of lanes lined with wholesale shops, small workshops, grain and spice traders and old family houses. Traders have worked here for generations, and many live in the floors above their shops.

We send extra loaders, plan a longer window and begin at first light, before the market fills.
Shop stock is packed by shelf and lot, with sacks handled carefully to avoid spillage, cloth wrapped in plastic and cartons labelled by type. Shelves, counters and weighing scales are dismantled and re-assembled. Old houses carry heavy furniture, brass utensils and storage trunks, which we wrap in blankets, carry in parts and list carefully.
