Ravet: BRTS, the bypass and a township in the making
Ravet lies on the western edge of Pimpri-Chinchwad, along the Aundh–Ravet BRTS road and the Mumbai–Bengaluru bypass. The Mukai Chowk, Punawale and Kiwale are near, and the neighbourhood has been developing rapidly with new housing societies and commercial complexes. It is particularly popular with buyers who work in Hinjewadi, Chinchwad or the Talawade IT park.
The BRTS corridor and the bypass offer good connections, but both can be jammed at peak hours, and trucks are not allowed on the BRTS lane. We therefore use the service roads and plan entry and exit with a local driver. Many roads inside the new areas have been laid recently, but some remain unpaved, and the monsoon can leave them muddy. If your society is not yet fully developed, tell us what to expect so we can bring planks or choose a different parking point.
Housing is dominated by new apartment projects, with lifts, basement parking and clubs, and by row houses and villas in the outer parts. Residents are mostly young families, so many households have children’s items such as cycles, toys and school equipment, which we pack separately. Typical moves are to Wakad, Tathawade, Pimple Saudagar and Punawale. Since the expressway entrance is nearby at Kiwale, trucks leaving for Mumbai can start the highway section within minutes, and the bypass makes it easy to travel to Bengaluru or Satara without entering the city.
Practical planning for Ravet
Ravet lies on the Mumbai–Bengaluru highway side of Pimpri-Chinchwad, near Kiwale and Mamurdi, with new housing projects, wide service roads and the Ravet bridge area. Societies are numerous and well kept, with decent lifts. The highway is heavily trafficked, particularly in the evenings. Residents are IT professionals and families who work in Hinjewadi and Pimpri. Typical destinations include Akurdi, Tathawade, Wakad and Punawale. We plan early starts and provide covered trucks for protection from dust.
