Sus: hill road, villages and new flats beyond Pashan
Sus is a village on the western hills of Pune, reached by the Pashan–Sus Road, and it has grown into a residential area for people who want greenery close to Baner and Pashan. The Sus Gaon, the Sus Khind and the neighbouring Mhalunge and Nande are connected with Hinjewadi through the Sus–Hinjewadi road, making it a convenient base for IT employees.
The road to Sus is the single most important fact for a mover. It climbs gently from Pashan, with bends and a narrow section near the village, and large trucks must go slowly. Heavy vehicles can be restricted at peak hours, and weekend visitors going to the hills add traffic. We recommend the morning or early afternoon, and we send a vehicle sized to the road rather than the load.
Housing consists of new apartment projects, row houses and independent bungalows with terraces and balconies. Gated projects have lifts and basements, while village houses have courtyards and narrow stairs. In the monsoon, the hill roads become slippery, and mist reduces visibility, so we keep a standby date between July and September. Typical moves are to Pashan, Baner, Bavdhan and Hinjewadi, and people relocating from Pune can reach the Mumbai–Bengaluru highway through Chandni Chowk. We pack plants, pots and outdoor furniture separately, since many Sus homes have gardens and balconies full of greenery.
