Undri: new societies south of Kondhwa
Undri is a rapidly developing area in south-east Pune, along the Undri–Pisoli Road and the Kondhwa–Saswad Road, near NIBM Road, Mohammadwadi and Pisoli. Over a decade, it has transformed from open land and villages to a district packed with societies. Many of its residents are young families who bought flats in the 2010s.
The roads here are a mix of newly built stretches and old village roads. Some societies are located on wide internal roads, and others require passing through a village lane that cannot take a large truck. The driver and our supervisor usually visit before the first job in a new society, or we ask for a photograph of the approach. Dust and construction are constant, and we keep the goods wrapped in plastic.
The area’s growth has outpaced public transport, so most households own two vehicles, and societies are full of cars. Parking can be difficult on the day, so we recommend that you inform your neighbours and keep some space for the truck. The service lift is the norm, and the deposit and timing rules are standard. A typical Undri home is a two- or three-bedroom flat with a family, meaning a moderate load of furniture and appliances. Typical moves go to NIBM Road, Kondhwa, Hadapsar and Wanowrie. Since Undri is on the south-east edge, customers going to Solapur or Hyderabad can reach the highway without entering the city centre.
Practical planning for Undri
Undri lies south-east of Pune near NIBM and Pisoli, with large townships and bungalow communities along the Undri–Pisoli road. Roads are being widened, and construction dust is common. Many projects have wide internal roads and large lifts. The distance from the city centre makes travel time significant. Typical destinations include NIBM, Kondhwa, Wanowrie and Hadapsar. We provide a covered truck, a large crew and unpacking support. Booking a week ahead is wise at month-end.
