Why people send bikes from Agra
Agra’s leather and footwear units, the tourism trade, the colleges and the cantonment all bring people who later move away, and many of them want their bike in the new city. Others send a bike to a son or daughter who has taken a job in Delhi NCR, Bengaluru or Pune.
Expressways and old lanes
The expressways to Noida and Lucknow make the drive out of Agra quick for a truck. The difficult part is often the start: the lanes of the old city are tight and busy, so the crew walks the bike out to the main road. Agra’s summers are very hot, so in May and June pickups are in the early morning.
On the day
The crew checks the bike with you and notes any marks on the list. The mirrors are removed, the tank and seat are wrapped in foam and film, and the bike is tied upright in the truck. You keep a copy of the list.
Handing over at the new city
Before delivery, we call to fix a time. The bike is unwrapped in front of you, and you check it against the list made in Agra and your photos. If you see a problem, write it on the list and tell us within 48 hours.
