Bavdhan: hillside homes beside Chandni Chowk
Bavdhan lies at the west edge of Pune, near the Chandni Chowk junction on the Mumbai–Bengaluru highway, with Bavdhan Khurd and Bavdhan Budruk making up the area. Its hillside setting, cool breeze and quieter roads attract families who want a calm neighbourhood close to Kothrud, Baner and Hinjewadi.
The Chandni Chowk junction and its flyover have eased traffic but remain a bottleneck at peak hours, and the highway service road collects heavy vehicles. A move heading east from Bavdhan has to cross this junction, so we plan the time carefully and may choose the NDA road in some cases. When the road is clear, the drive to Kothrud takes only fifteen minutes.
Housing includes bungalows, villas and apartment societies on the hill slope. Access roads can be steep, narrow and winding, and some of the societies at the top of the hill require a smaller vehicle. Villas often have several floors, with a large terrace and a lot of garden furniture. Please tell us if you have plants, pots or outdoor equipment, as they need special packing. Typical moves are to Kothrud, Pashan, Baner and Sus. People moving out of Pune can reach the highway to Mumbai and Satara within a few minutes, and our crews usually depart with a full-day buffer for the ghat section.
Practical planning for Bavdhan
Bavdhan sits on the western side of Pune, near Chandni Chowk, with hillside housing, large societies and a busy Mumbai–Bengaluru highway interchange. The Chandni Chowk junction is notorious for jams, and we avoid the morning and evening peak. Roads climbing the hill are steep and narrow in places, so we use smaller trucks. Many apartments have lifts, but some old buildings have only stairs. Typical destinations are Kothrud, Pashan, Baner and Warje, and the job is usually done in half a day.
