Warje is located in west Pune where the Mumbai–Bengaluru highway meets the roads from Karve Nagar and Kothrud. The Warje flyover and the Warje junction are key points, and the area includes Warje Malwadi, Ramnagar and the neighbourhoods along the Warje–Karve Nagar road. It has seen rapid growth in housing and is popular with families who want a mid-priced home close to Kothrud and the highway.
The junction is the major constraint. Heavy trucks and buses from the highway meet local traffic from the colonies, so we avoid the morning and evening peaks. Often, a quick check of the traffic on the day determines whether the truck should go via the service road or the Karve Road. Because the highway is right here, trucks leaving the city need very little time in town after loading.
Housing ranges from older low-rise buildings in Malwadi and Ramnagar to newer apartment societies with lifts. The old part has narrow lanes and stairs, and large furniture must be dismantled. The newer societies follow regular procedures with deposit and slot booking. Because many residents work in Hinjewadi or Kothrud, we do many small and medium moves, often completed within a day.
